I love how angry people get over this. Glasses make me feel beautiful. Lenses or not. I am not going to stop wearing them cause someone is getting butthurt because they *have* to wear them to see. I am sorry, I truly am. But that is not my problem, and me wearing glasses is not yours. It’s not like I wear these lenless glasses to make fun of people who wear them. I wear them because it makes me feel beautiful. Glasses can be sexy. Glasses can be fashionable. Glasses can make an outfit.
If you really want to take that away from me because you are angry I have good vision and you don’t then maybe you need to get something other than your eyes checked out.
I originally posted this on my tumblr a few days ago. Obviously this picture has taken a life of it’s own. This however made me laugh out loud like I haven’t laughed out loud in my life, “because you are angry I have good vision and you don’t”. I don’t have good vision. I never have. Since the time I was 7 years old I have worn glasses and I love them. I’ve been wearing red glasses for 16 years and have been rocking the shit out of them. It’s not a matter of being jealous over somebody who has perfect vision, it’s the fact that glasses without lenses has become a trend. Much like wearing leggings as jeans has become trend and how UGGs were in style. It’s a trend that will hopefully fade out. So that’s that. I’m not jealous of anyone who has perfect vision, would it be nice on some days to have perfect vision? Definitely… especially on rainy days… but my glasses are my best accessory. You can’t think of me without thinking of them and that’s fine by me. They’re becoming more fashionable and to some it’s an accessory and to some it defines them, but I’m just glad they’re not looked down on. :)
